As Andy Warhol once said…from the President of the United States to the bum on the corner of the street – Coca-Cola is loved by everyone. Consumers in more than 200 countries enjoy Coca-Cola at a rate of 1.6 billion servings a day and it is documented that the phrase “Coca-Cola” is the second most widely understood term in the world, after “okay”.
To celebrate the 125th anniversary of Coca-Cola in May 2011 and to highlight the brand as the world’s biggest soft drink, Coca-Cola ran a day of radio interviews discussing what makes it such a cultural reference point across the globe.
To achieve this, Daniel Morris, a Coca-Cola bottle collector and Liz Lowe, an official Coca-Cola representative, talked to radio presenters across the country about the origins of the brand, why it's so iconic and how it's been woven through history.
Coverage highlights included Sky News Radio, BFBS and Big City Radio
