Mission
This summer, more and more people used their smart phones to snap their precious holiday memories, but how many people use cloud storage to back up those photos? BT Cloud wanted to assert themselves as the voice of authority in the cloud storage industry, educate listeners to the importance of using a cloud provider, and most importantly, explain how easy it is to back up, access and share your personal data. Now that we’re in the middle of the digital age, people rely on tablets and smart phones to capture and store their most treasured memories. However, new research commissioned by BT Cloud revealed that 8 in 10 people don’t back up holiday photos in cloud storage, in fact, 21% only use social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram to store photos, but if the source file is lost or deleted, that picture could become irretrievable. To break down the research further and discuss how to avoid losing important and precious memories, BT Cloud used an industry expert from BT, Andy Kirkpatrick, as their spokesperson to give valuable and technical advice to listeners regarding cloud software. Coverage highlights included Big City Radio, Unity FM and Waves Radio. Campaign in Numbers BT Cloud secured a reach of 1.6 million listeners with 2 hours 45 minutes worth of coverage. BT Cloud’s campaign secured a total of 47 items of coverage up and down the UK. |
