Many consumers were unaware of the shifting attitudes towards electric vehicles and the significant impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on people’s reconsideration of their vehicle choices. This lack of awareness presented a challenge for SOGO, which sought to position itself as a leader in the rapidly growing electric car market. To address this, we commissioned comprehensive research to explore Brits’ perceptions of electric cars and how the pandemic influenced their demand for greener alternatives. The research uncovered a remarkable 186% increase in interest for electric vehicles, providing valuable insights that supported SOGO’s messaging.
