Intelligent Pelican, the gap year travel experts, wanted to highlight results from their own research that not only revealed a significant surge in long and adventurous travel stints in general, but also that the trend has spread to the older generation in the form of ‘career breakers’ and ‘young retirees’.
But are these new found travellers prepared for what’s out there? To discuss the research in more depth, Louise and Michael Mcneilage, ‘career breakers’ and travel experts themselves, were used as spokespeople for Intelligent Pelican.
Louise and Michael were able to talk to presenters across the country about the trends of ‘gap yearing’, the reasons for its popularity, the benefits of taking a gap year later in life and gave essential advice on the most crucial items to take with you.
Presenters were extremely happy with the interviews, stating that Michael and Louise were great spokespeople, building a great rapport and confidently leading listeners to their website. Coverage highlights include BBC Radio Humberside, BBC Radio Wiltshire/Swindon, BFBS and Big City Radio.
