NATIONAL CLINICAL TRIALS DAY |
Radio Interviews
The National Institute for Health Research, part of the NHS, came to The Relations Group with the objectives of improving the public's perception of clinical research, as well as increasing people's awareness of the NHS's role in conducting research. The campaign was timed to coincide with International Clinical Trials Day and featured research into the public's attitudes to clinical trials, including the statistic that almost three quarters of people would be willing to take part in trials, yet many are simply never given the option. The Institute's National Director for Public Participation and Engagement in Research took part in a morning of live radio interviews to discuss the subject.
The Relations Group secured 25 items of coverage for the campaign, including 8 BBC stations, and a total of 3 hours of interviews across the campaign, reaching a combined weekly reach of over 3 million people. |
