A-LEVEL RESULTS |
Radio Interviews & Competitions
The University of Bradford wanted to position themselves as the authoritative voices and leading experts on the subject of choosing the right University and support surrounding the clearing process following A Level results day. We were able to achieve this through a tremendously successful campaign including competitions and a day of radio interviews with Sue Kershaw, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Bradford, and Jake Volpe who experienced clearing himself and achieved a first class honours degree.
Sue was able to discuss the top tips and advice available for those going through the clearing process and what the University of Bradford was able to offer those students, as well as which factors students should take into consideration when exploring other universities and courses. Jake was able to share his experiences of the worries many students experience when going through the clearing process and could give advice to students preparing to live away from home for the first time. Alongside the radio interviews, the University of Bradford wanted to target a younger demographic through running on air competitions on commercial radio stations. This was achieved by giving away Kindle Fires, worth £129, to celebrate their students success in exams and to highlight their top university ranking for graduate employability. This competition was a huge success, securing 52 items of coverage across the UK. The radio interviews also proved extremely successful for securing coverage on national, major and leading stations. In total, the campaign reached a total of over 14 million people across the country and secured over 7 hours’ worth of radio coverage, thus positioning the University of Bradford as a leading provider of higher education for the science, health and technology professions. Campaign highlights included coverage on BBC Radio Solent, BCB Bradford, Real Radio North West, Real Radio Yorkshire, Gem 106 and Smooth 100.4 (North West) |
