With UK travellers increasingly seeking festive breaks that feel authentic rather than overcrowded and commercial, the Relations Group delivered a broadcast-led campaign to spotlight Saxony as a distinctive Christmas destination for 2025 and beyond. Timed around the Christmas period to maximise seasonal relevance, the campaign used cultural storytelling and regionally tailored research to drive high-quality national and regional coverage. By showcasing Saxony’s centuries-old Christmas markets—among the oldest in Germany—and traditions such as hand-carved nutcrackers, wooden toys, Saxon mulled wine (first created in the region) and hearty festive cuisine, we positioned the region as a premium, culturally rich alternative for affluent travellers. Media interest was further elevated through the involvement of TV personality and interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen as spokesperson, adding authority, warmth and visual appeal, while reinforcing Saxony’s blend of heritage, craftsmanship and timeless festive charm.
